Book Group. @Home member Sarah King will lead us in a discussion of The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. It’s a wonderful BIG book, so get started if you haven’t already. Many copies available at Greenwich Library.

An afternoon w/ Roy Rowan (postponed from November).  Author, award-winning journalist and @Home member Roy Rowan will regale us with stories from his newly-updated book, American Presidents and their Best Friends (i.e. their dogs!) up to and including the Obamas’ beloved Bo.  Said Dan Rather: “A doggone delight that will leave you sitting up and begging for more.  I give it four paws up.”   Call Lise (203-422-2342) by 12/1 for directions and to reserve your place.

 

Holiday luncheon to honor @Home volunteers.  Enjoy an afternoon of good cheer and good eats as we say “thank you” to all those who have contributed so generously of their time and talents. “Sleep Well, Age Well: Tips for Getting the Sleep You Need.” Saul Rothenberg, PhD, sleep psychologist on the staff of Greenwich Hospital’s Center for Healthy Aging, will present his time-tested program for tackling this common problem.  At Fletcher Hall, 2nd Congregational Church.  Guests are welcome.

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver will be the January selection.  Many copies are available in the library (and it’s a big book, so get your copy now!). Sarah King will lead the discussion, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 27 at 10 AM.  More details to follow next month.
