Gathering for Prospective New Members. Bring a friend (or 2 or 3!) to this wine & cheese party at an @Home member’s home. We need to grow our membership and we are hoping that each member who attends will bring an interested friend. Call Lise (422-2342) by 12/1 to RSVP and for directions.
An afternoon w/ Roy Rowan (postponed from November). Author, award-winning journalist and @Home member Roy Rowan will regale us with stories from his newly-updated book, American Presidents and their Best Friends (i.e. their dogs!) up to and including the Obamas’ beloved Bo. Holiday luncheon to honor @Home volunteers. Enjoy an afternoon of good cheer and good eats as we say “thank you” to all those who have contributed so generously of their time and talents. Music and entertainment by @Home member Dick Roberts. Fletcher Hall on the campus of the 2nd Congregational Church is the place. Please RSVP by 12/3 to Lise at 422-2342 (very important so we know how much food to prepare!).
“Sleep Well, Age Well: Tips for Getting the Sleep You Need.” Saul Rothenberg, PhD, sleep psychologist on the staff of Greenwich Hospital’s Center for Healthy Aging, will present his time-tested program for tackling this common problem. At Fletcher Hall, 2nd Congregational Church. Guests are welcome.

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver will be the January selection. Many copies are available in the library (and it’s a big book, so get your copy now!). Sarah King will lead the discussion, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 27 at 10 AM. More details to follow next month.
Lise is on vacation from December 23 through January 4. The office remains open with limited hours staffed by volunteers.
