Music in the Seaside Garden, Greenwich Point.  Bring a picnic, a comfy beach chair (and your beach pass) and join the @Home group as we enjoy the lively, toe-tapping music of the Fairfield Counts, a popular 18-piece dance band.  Our group will assemble at the front left side (facing forward) of the garden. Dinearound at “Catch a Healthy Habit Cafe” a tasty and creative new raw foods

restaurant in Fairfield.  It will be fun to try something new and delicious that is actually good for you! We’ll be leaving about 11 AM.  Please call the office at 203-422-2342 8/6 so we can set up carpools.

 

Westport Playhouse.  The play is the Broadway hit I Do, I Do, a joyful musical by the authors of The Fantastiks. Tickets can be ordered online at www.westportplayhouse.org or by calling 203-227-4177. But first call the office at 203-422-2342 by 8/1 if you want to carpool.

 

Cruise to Nowhere. A relaxing and beautiful 2-hour small ferry boat ride through local waters. $8 tickets available at the Island Beach ticket window beginning at 10 AM that day.  Bring a picnic supper.  For more details & to RSVP, call the office at 203-422-2342

 

Member Wine & Cheese. Mingle with members over goodies in a lovely home.  Chat about At Home in Greenwich and get to know each other.

Poetry Gathering. An ongoing poetry discussion led by @Home member Mary Ann Hoberman.  Call Mary Ann (203-661-8495) if you want to join the group.

Potluck Travel Dinner.  Do you want to travel, but not alone?  Are you on the lookout for new travel ideas and adventures?  Come join the discussion over a potluck dinner at Marylin’s. A Virtual Trip to Mexico. Accomplished photographers Mike (a member of @Home’s Council of Advisors) and Sally Harris will share their wonderful photos of a recent trip to central Mexico that show a far different image than today’s dramatic and often violent news headlines. Midori at Caramoor. This “profoundly poetic program” features the violin music  of Beethoven, Bloch, Szymanowski and Brahms. Tickets range from $10 (on the picnic lawn) to $45 (914-232-1252). Please call the office (203) 422-2342 If you’d like to carpool with the @Home group.

Intergenerational Communication: How to Speak Effectively with Your Children. Rose Marie Turner, LCSW is a longtime social worker and psychotherapist from Family Centers who has helped many families discuss difficult topics and navigate life’s difficulties. At Fletcher Hall, 2nd CC Church. Call Lise (203-422-2342) to reserve your place.

Bridgeport to Port Jefferson Ferry Ride.  Join us on this fun excursion to Port Jefferson. We’ll carpool to the Bridgeport Ferry, enjoy a 1-1/4 hour cruise, then lunch & stroll through Port Jeff. $17 round trip ferry fee.  Please call the office (203) 422-2342 7/21 if you want to join the group.
