At Home in Greenwich was created to meet your needs and to help you live your life in comfort, safety, and full enjoyment. As a dear member put it, At Home has created a “circle of caring,” not only between members and the Executive Director, but among the members themselves. Another member believes, “At Home In Greenwich seems to attract very special people.” New friendships form, and members begin to arrange bridge games, and to travel together to the theater or a movie, or see an exhibit at a museum in New York City.
Other examples of programs include learning helpful tips for memory retention from an At Home Board member, opening our hearts and minds to poetry experiences or discussions that offer further hope for our aging brains.
We schedule Dinearounds, offer potluck dinners, and hold an annual Chinese New Year banquet. “I have been enriched by the wonderful friends I have made,” wrote one happy member on our annual survey. Another member, a recent widow, said, “The sun is shining brighter because Barbara called to invite me to play bridge.”
Every month At Home in Greenwich publishes a calendar of events available to the membership. Many opportunities for social and recreational programming are free of charge with transportation available; other selections are offered at reasonable cost or discounted rate.
